London – January 2008 - 2007 was an excellent
growth year for Laserform, the IRIS Legal forms business. Laserform
added 170 clients in 2007, a year that saw the introduction
of Laserform e-submissions to help firms speed up the conveyancing
process whilst improving profitability as well as the launch of the
new Laserform forms system LFM9.2 with it’s time saving online
updating features, and the launch of LformInet, the new intranet
version of Laserform.
Aside from all the new products and forms
added to the already comprehensive catalogue Laserform continued to
deliver for customers by being the first forms supplier to provide
all the Law Society Transaction Protocol forms and amended range of
CON29 forms in time for when HIPs came in. Laserform
continued with another first by introducing Lease Code Compliant
business leases ahead of anyone else. Laserform continued to add
value to clients as an information provider through their much
respected Laserform Information Services (LIS) which gave advance
warnings to practitioners regarding such issues as HIPs and the
changes resulting from the new Mental Capacity Act both of which
allowed firms to get a head start on impending changes and adjust
their practices accordingly.
2008 promises to be yet another strong year
for Laserform with the continued growth of their product range
including new forms in the areas of Company, LLP, Family, Landlord
and Tenant, Gambling Act, Employment and Criminal Appeals as well
as the introduction of ProbatePro – the solution aimed at reducing
risk and saving time in the complex arena of Probate. There is also
a plan to significantly increase the numbers of forms available to
Scottish clients.
As a direct result of a remarkable year of
growth and a sound business plan going forward IRIS are proud to
launch the new Laserform Centre of Excellence.
The centre will bring together all Laserform
staff into one location in a brand new premise at Booths Park,
Knutsford due to open March 2008. There will be no reduction
in staff headcount however the Laserform London satellite office,
where the lease comes to an end in late spring, will close. All 12
staff have been offered relocation to the new office. In December
2007 Laserform added an additional 6 new staff members based at the
Lymm office, mainly in support roles.
The formation of the centre will accelerate
the integration of Laserform with recent IRIS Case and Practice
Management applications (as per the investment committed by IRIS in
July 2007) as well as increasing levels of customer support and the
overall growth of the Laserform business. Laserform will now
operate with all development, sales, distribution and customer
support personnel in one office. IRIS Legal will maintain its
London presence with offices in Fleet Street.
“I am delighted to announce the opening of
our new Laserform centre of excellence which is a measureable
demonstration of the commitment and investment IRIS is making to
the legal market. This centre will advance our ability to deliver
an improved product and service and enable future growth”
comments Arlene Adams, Managing Director of IRIS Legal.
“Already, through the use of wider IRIS Legal resource and
process, we have managed to add an additional 5 hours support hours
to the Laserform support week at no extra cost to our customers.
Our plan to bring everyone into one purpose defined office will
provide us with the best chance for continuous product and service
improvement”.
