Why am I getting 'Not a valid path' error when running
the update?
This error usually occurs if you have altered the drive during the
update Wizard, e.g. from c:\IRIS payroll professional to f:\IRIS
payroll professional. To correct the problem put a '\'at the
end of the path, e.g. f:\IRIS payroll professional\
My pin number has expired, what do I
do?
Call your Support Centre to be issued with a new pin.
What is the Directory for
Data?
The Directory for Data is the drive or subdirectory name where you
wish to store the company and employee details. It is not
necessarily the same location as the program details.
What are the different types of installation for IRIS
Payroll Professional?
Full (Typical)
Use this option to install a standalone
installation. You should perform this installation from at least
one PC if you are running a networked version of the
software.
Workstation
Use this option to set-up a workstation after
IRIS Payroll Professional has been installed on a network. You will
be asked to enter the location where the IRIS Payroll Professional
program files have been installed.
Update
Use this option to update a standalone
installation. You should perform this installation from at least
one PC if you are running a networked version of the software. This
option does not overwrite the existing Crystal Runtime
files.
Workstation Update
Use this option to set-up a workstation after
IRIS Payroll Professional has been updated on a network. You will
be asked to enter the location where the IRIS Payroll Professional
program files have been installed. This option does not overwrite
the existing Crystal Runtime files.
Custom
You may choose the options you wish to
install. Recommended for advanced users.
How do I find out what the program location is in IRIS
Payroll Professional?
Go to the Help menu and select About IRIS
Payroll Professional. Click the button More Details and you will
see the program.
Which CD do I use for a new
installation?
Always use the latest CD you have received. All the updates
are full working versions of the Software.
How do I add a new workstation on IRIS Payroll
Professional? Find where you run IRIS Payroll Professional
from by checking the path of the program in Help & About IRIS
Payroll Professional. Run a workstation install on the new
