Step 3
Click Pay, and then
choose Variations.
On the Pay Table tab, select the pay codes you
wish to use in the Pay Code
column, and enter the number of hours worked in the Temp Amount column. Ensure that you check
the Hours checkbox to the right of the
Temp Amount column.
In doing this, the employee will be paid for the hours entered
here, at the rate indicated in the Multiple column in
Step 1.
You may also wish to put a tick in the On Hold field on the Basic Pay line if
you do not wish to display the Basic Pay line on the employee
payslip.
Save your entries, and press
Close, and calculate your payroll in the
usual way.
Check the employee payslip to confirm that your entered rates
of pay and hours worked are shown as required.
In the example detailed above, Mr Alan Other will receive the
