Paying multiple rates of pay

Step 2

Click on the Employee button, and click on the Pay Rates tab.

Enter an hourly rate of £1.00 per hour, and the standard hours as zero.

Please note: The £1.00 per hour entry at this point is used to allow IRIS PAYE-Master to calculate the pay rate using the entries that you have entered in Additions/Deductions detailed in Step 1.  Those entries made in Step 1 will now be your specific rates of pay, and IRIS PAYE-Master will perform the following calculations in preparation for the hours worked to be entered in Pay Variations:

Pay Code Description Adds/Deds Multiple Entry x Employee Pay Rate Calculated Pay Rate
11 Up to 40 hours 7.500 x £1.00 £7.50/hr
12 41 to 45 hours 8.500 x £1.00 £7.60/hr
13 46 to 50 hours 9.500 x £1.00 £7.70/hr

Save your entries, and press Close.
