It is
important that you install this update immediately.
Step 1
Please ensure IRIS PAYE-Master, IRIS HR Manager and IRIS
Bookkeeping are closed before commencing the download.
Step 2
Please
click here to download the update. (826 kb)
Note: This is a
compressed ZIP file. You should ensure that you have a method
of unzipping the file, before downloading the upgrade. You
may wish to visit the WinZip website, as a
provider of a suitable file compression/decompression
utility. If you are using Microsoft Windows Vista, or
Microsoft Windows XP, these operating systems are pre-equipped with
unzipping technology.
Step 3
Click on the 'Save' button.
Step 4
We recommend you save the file to
your 'Desktop'.
Step 5
Once the file has downloaded to your Desktop,
double-click on the zip
folder september_update.zip.
Step 6
A new window will appear. Copy the file
setup.exe from the window and paste it onto
your desktop.
Step 7
Double-click setup.exe to begin the update
process.
If you are
using Windows Vista The User Account Control
window will open. Click Continue to
proceed.
If IRIS
PAYE-Master is not found in the default location you will be
prompted to browse to the folder where IRIS PAYE-Master is
installed. You must browse to the relevant folder
and double click pmw.exe to
begin the upgrade process.
If done correctly you will see the following confirmation
message.
Click OK. The update process is nearly complete!
Important: If you are using Windows Vista you may see
window appear which says 'This program might
not have installed correctly'. You will have two
options to choose, please choose 'This program installed
correctly'.
From this point any payrolls processed with a rundate of
7th September 2008 or later will
automatically use the new tax band (£34,800).
The next step is to increase all suffix L tax
codes by 60 points.
How to increase all L codes by 60 points
Once you increase the L tax code it will have
an immediate effect on your payroll(s). We
recommend you implement the new tax codes from
7th September 2008 and onwards.
Step 1
In IRIS PAYE-Master click Utilities > Bulk Tax Code
change. You will the following warning
message.
Please click YES. You DO
NOT have to clear the totals.
Step 2
Next to the L code enter 60
and click OK.
Step 3
You will be asked to print a report which will display the
old tax code and the new tax code. If you have done this
correctly every employee using an L suffix tax code should have an
increase of 60 points.
The update is now complete.
