1. What types of printers can I use with IRIS
PAYE-Master?
IRIS PAYE-Master supports both dot-matrix printers and
laser/inkjet printers.
2. Are there any particular printers which are
incompatible?
No, although it is important to note that due to the
complexity of printer drivers along with the many different PC
configurations you may, very occasionally,
experience problems. Always ensure you have the latest printer
driver installed, please consult the manufacturers website for
further details.
3. If I have more than one printer installed, how do I
tell IRIS PAYE-Master which printer to use?
IRIS PAYE-Master will print to the default
printer you have chosen within Windows. To check which
printer is set to default, click Start > Printers and
Faxes. This will display each printer you currently have installed,
the one which is default will have a tick against the relevant
icon.
To change the default printer, right click on
the required printer icon and click ‘Set as default
printer’.
4. Which stationery can I use?

5. When printing using IRIS pre-printed stationery the
print isn’t lined up against the form, what am I doing wrong?
You need to check the margin adjustment. In PAYE-Master,
on the print dialog window there is a margins button. You
need to adjust the top and left margin accordingly. The
measurement is in inches.
6. If I just want to preview the reports on screen is it
necessary to have a printer installed?
Yes, even though you are only printing to screen PAYE-Master
requires that you have a printer driver installed in Windows.
