1. Can I send in the IRIS PAYE-Master P35
form instead of the HMRC's?
No, the P35 printout is used to assist you in completing the
P35 that HMRC will have sent automatically.
2. The P35 doesn't show all my
employees?
Ensure you have selected the correct pay frequency. If you
have more than one frequency, select 'All Cycles' so that all
employees are shown.
3. I'm trying to print the P35 and it's
saying 'IRIS PAYE-Master could find nothing to
report'.
This can happen when the wrong pay frequency is selected when
choosing to print. If this is not the problem, check the payroll
status as the Clear Totals routine may already have been
performed.
4. The SMP/SSP/SAP/SPP I have paid isn't showing on the
P35.
Check the employee record first to see if the amount paid is
shown on the 'sundry' tab.
IRIS PAYE-Master will only report amounts that have been paid
through the relevant tabs in 'Pay Variations'.
If you have made payments by creating your own user defined
codes, you will need to input the amounts paid on the employee
record manually. The Year to Date totals will not be
affected.
5. My Student Loan Deductions aren't
appearing on the P35.
Student loans will only be reported if they have been deducted
through the 'Attachments' details. If you have set up your own code
then you will need to set it up again via the Attachment details
and enter the total deductions in the Year to Date column. Please
remember to remove the one set up in 'Variations' so that the
deductions aren't made twice.
6. My reclaimed SMP isn't shown on the P35.
The P35 is a listing of statutory payments and deductions. You
will need to work out the reclaimable figures manually by
completing the relevant boxes on the HMRC P35.
7. How do I know how much I have already paid over to
HMRC?
You should enter the figures in your yellow booklet each time
you pay HMRC. Add the total amount you have paid already paid
over to HMRC and deduct from the P35 figures to work out how
much is still owed.
