1. Do I have to install v5.6.4 before I can complete the
2007/08 Year-End procedure?
Yes, v5.6.4 contains important changes to both the Year End
reports and the Internet Filing routine. Therefore you must
have v5.6.4 installed before you perform the Year-End
procedures.
2. I have put the CD in the drive and nothing appears to
happen?
The obvious question first, have you put the CD in the drive the
correct way? The label should be face up. If you have,
it could be that ‘Autoplay’ is switched off on your CD-ROM drive
which prevents the CD from loading automatically.
In Windows click Start > Run, in the dialog box type D:\IRIS
PAYE-Master\setup.exe. If your CD drive has another letter e.g. E
then type E:\IRIS PAYE-Master\setup.exe and press
[enter]. If done correctly the CD will begin to load, follow
the on-screen prompts to proceed.
3. I have installed v5.6.4 and when I open IRIS
PAYE-Master it still shows as v5.6.3?
This will occur if you install v5.6.4 into a different
folder than v5.6.3.
In IRIS PAYE-Master click Help > About IRIS
PAYE-Master. In this window it will show the folder where the
software is installed. By default this is C:\Program
Files\IRIS Software Ltd\PAYE-Master.NET. Exit from IRIS
PAYE-Master and insert the v5.6.4 installation CD again, if
necessary you must change the installation path when prompted
during the setup process.
