Step 1. Activate your licence
If you did not enter licence details
when you installed IRIS Bookkeeping, you can activate the licence
using the Licence Details window. This can be accessed as
follows:
1. Click on the
Tools menu and select
Options (or Enter
Licenceif no company is currently
loaded).
2. This will display the
Options window with the
Licence tab open.
3. Complete the following
fields as appropriate:
- Product - Displays the IRIS product
name.
- Company
Name - Enter the exact company name supplied by
IRIS Software Ltd (i.e the company name on your licence
agreement).
- Customer Key
Code - Displays the unique key code - this is
automatically generated.
- Expiry
Date - Enter or select the exact date supplied by
IRIS Software Ltd. You can type the date or use the drop-down menu
to select a date.
- Number of
Companies - This is supplied by IRIS Software Ltd.
If you have a single-company licence enter '1'. If you have a
multi- user licence (bureau) enter the number of companies on your
licence agreement.
- Companies
Used - Displays the number of company licences that
have been used (i.e. the number of companies that have already been
created).
- Authorisation
Code - Enter the exact code supplied by IRIS
Software Ltd.
- Update
Licence button - This button will only become
available after ALL of the information above has been entered
correctly. Click on this button to save the licence
details.
